“I’m fundraising for Together for Cinema by taking part in the Marathon Des Sables in March. Known as “the toughest footrace on earth.” I’ll be running the equivalent of six regular marathons over six days in more than 50C heat in the Sahara Desert, carrying everything I need on my back.
My aim is to raise significant funds to help T4C rollout multiple special cinema rooms to children’s hospices and other children’s respite care spaces. Thousands of children and young adults with life limiting conditions, with their families and support workers benefit from amazing home cinemas based at the hospices and I’d really like to help give more children access to these great spaces. It might just give children the priceless opportunity for a cuddle with their Mum or Dad watching their favourite film, or a cinema night with others, in the right environment, when otherwise they would not have been able to.”
